Job Description

Construct New Tooling and troubleshoot and repair non functioning molds . Mold makers create and develop new molds for Plastic injection Molding, using the specifications that have been provided from a design team. Using desgn & blueprints, mold makers plans the molds they need to create by following instructions and sketches, work with specifications from the design team so they need to be familiar with prints and CAD programs for this aspect of the job. analyze tolerances for each component to make sure they’re appropriate

for the intended use. Ultimatly responsible for making sure the existing tooling and molds are effective, maintaining them regularly and repairing any damage when required. aid in moving, disassembly, cleaning, and troubleshooting molds and components in a safe and methodical manner. Has the basic tools, physical skills, and discipline to use specific prescribed methods/procedures for this work.

Summary of ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Knowledge of Mold construction to construct, rebuild, and repair Molds

· Analyzes assembly design or blueprint and plans mold building

· Ensure work carried out is in compliance to company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance

and procedural standard.

· Obtain and assemble components from a Bill of Material

· Verifies conformance of parts to BOM and blueprints, using measuring instruments, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.

· Fit and assembles components according to design , assembly blueprints, manuals, engineering memos, sketches, using hand tools and power tools:

· Grind/ Bench surface and areas of tool to minimize flaws.

· Installing and testing components to ensure that it operates properly

· Create special machined details on manual machines as needed

· Spotting and assembly Cavity and core to maintain funtional part.

· Assemble in pneumatic and plumbing components

· Responsible for routing and wiring up to the control panel

· Operate overhead crane and hi-lo operation

· Welding experience a plus

· Diagnosing problems with Molds and making repairs or replacements when needed

· Perform routine maintenance on Molds to ensure they are running efficiently

· Follow all safety , Housekeeping and company policies and procedures.
