Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with Engineering Drafting Manager, Drafting Team, Project Engineers and Project Managers with a mentorship mindset.
• Create and maintain engineering plans (construction documents), elevations, floor, roof, wall details and alike for new construction of single family and multi-family residential projects, based on conceptual designs provided by clients.
• Strong critical thinker, identifies and solves problems in a timely manner, works well with a group, uses common sense and reasoning.
• Willing to make adjustments based on feedback.
• Self-motivated and self-directed to accurately and thoroughly complete projects.
• Balances team and individual responsibilities, gives and welcomes feedback.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or more than two years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency to work in computer-aided drafting, AutoCAD.
• Experience with residential structural drafting (single-family, multi-family) a plus.
• Understanding design drawings and producing construction documents.
• Understanding of residential construction.
• Working knowledge of building industry, a plus.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Must be able to pass drug and background screening.
