Job Description

Harvard Resource Solutions is seeking a Manufacturing Technician on a direct hire basis for our manufacturing client in Macomb, MI

This position is open to U.S. citizens only. Proof of citizenship will be required during the hiring process in accordance with federal regulations.

Pay: 25.00hr - 28.00hr

Shift: 6:45am - 3:15pm

Summ ary

Responsible for setting up, reviewing, adjusting, and troubleshooting automation and secondary equipment. Accountable for establishing, documenting, and refining processes to ensure safe, efficient, and repeatable production. Plays a key role in maintaining equipment performance, supporting product quality, and partnering with engineering teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Duties

  • To authorize and implement changes to processes or changes to equipment to improve efficiency, quality and safety.
  • To halt any production run that creates an unsafe condition or is producing out of specification parts.
  • To ensure work instructions, process documentation and setup sheets are accurate, complete and accessible.
  • Verify technical data, CAD files, and engineering drawings for manufacturability and adherence to specifications.
  • Participate as required in product, tooling and secondary equipment design reviews to ensure manufacturability.
  • Support Mfg. Engineers and Program Managers. Ensure supplies are maintained and re-ordered.

Requirements

  • Strong troubleshooting qualities with data driven results.
  • Low Voltage DC Electrical experience
  • Having some PLC programming knowledge
  • Controls experience
  • Hands-on technical skills with robotics, automation and secondary equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, prints and schematics.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to use CAD for fixture and process-related design work.
  • Ability to operate machine tools as required for secondary equipment.
  • Ability to use Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • 3 years hands on experience with plastic injection molding
