Dufford Waldeck is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support our growing team of paralegals and attorneys in Grand Junction, Colorado. The ideal candidate will be highly dependable, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail. You will collaborate closely with our outstanding paralegal team and attorneys, with potential for advancement depending on experience and performance. Responsibilities:
•
Manage case calendars and deadlines.
Maintain case files and documents in an organized manner.
• Organize evidence and legal documents for trial.
Support client relations via phone calls and email correspondence.
• Schedule appointments and verify client information.
• Conduct legal research.
• Draft routine legal documents, including discovery disclosure and motions.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and complete tasks.
• Strong computer skills – Word, Excel, Adobe, and DocuSign.
• Exceptional spelling and grammar.
PREFERRED: • 2+ years' experience working in a law firm.
• Associate's degree or higher in a related discipline.
