Job Description
We’re currently hiring a Foreman to oversee roofing and construction projects from start to finish. This hands-on role includes supervising contractors and crews, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining strong, professional communication with customers on-site. A critical part of the role is identifying, diagnosing, and resolving roofing issues on active projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and assess roofing issues such as leaks, improper ventilation, storm damage, installation defects, and general wear.
- Perform in-depth inspections to identify underlying causes of reported problems or visible damage.
- Complete warranty service work by evaluating reported issues, verifying warranty coverage, and executing or coordinating appropriate repairs.
- Perform all assigned calendar duties and scheduled site visits.
- Complete and maintain accurate daily paperwork (e.g., timesheets, supervisor notes, checklists, expenses).
- Capture clear, detailed progress photos before, during, and after work.
- Proactively resolve unforeseen issues on the jobsite with minimal disruption.
- Verify that all delivered materials are accurate and complete on-site.
- Maintain professional, solution-oriented communication with customers and subcontractors.
- Conduct final walkthroughs with customers to ensure quality completion and satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly assess and accurately diagnose a wide range of roofing issues.
- Experience in evaluating the root cause of leaks, flashing failures, improper installs, or product deterioration.
- Solid understanding of South Carolina Building Codes.
- Comfortable lifting shingles, climbing ladders, and working on steep or high roofs.
- Proficient with smartphones, tablets, and mobile apps for job documentation and communication.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Installation experience with shingles, metal roofing, siding, gutters, or fascia is a major plus.
- Reliable attendance and a clean driving record are required.
