Project Manager – North Dallas | Commercial General Contractor
A reputable General Contractor based in North Dallas is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This firm delivers a diverse mix of ground-up and renovation projects across the DFW area, with a strong portfolio in office, healthcare, medical, religious, and storage facility builds.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution
- Manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and financial tracking
- Lead subcontractor procurement, contract negotiation, and scope reviews
- Review plans, specifications, and ensure full alignment with project scope
Coordination & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact between ownership, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Conduct regular project meetings and deliver updates on schedule, cost, and progress
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation flow
- Coordinate closely with the Superintendent to maintain project pace and quality
Financial & Risk Management
- Manage project budgets, cost reports, and forecasting
- Ensure timely billing, pay applications, and financial accuracy
- Identify potential risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Quality Control & Closeout
- Ensure all work meets project specifications, building codes, and quality expectations
- Facilitate punch-list completion, final inspections, and handover documentation
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on commercial construction projects
- Proven experience managing ground-up and renovation builds
- Background in office, medical, healthcare, religious, or storage projects preferred
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, and contract management skills
- Skilled communicator with excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities
- Must be local to DFW, with knowledge of regional subcontractors and permitting
- OSHA 30 certification preferred but not required
