Job Description

Project Manager – North Dallas | Commercial General Contractor

A reputable General Contractor based in North Dallas is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. This firm delivers a diverse mix of ground-up and renovation projects across the DFW area, with a strong portfolio in office, healthcare, medical, religious, and storage facility builds.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Execution

  • Manage all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and financial tracking
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, contract negotiation, and scope reviews
  • Review plans, specifications, and ensure full alignment with project scope

Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between ownership, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Conduct regular project meetings and deliver updates on schedule, cost, and progress
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation flow
  • Coordinate closely with the Superintendent to maintain project pace and quality

Financial & Risk Management

  • Manage project budgets, cost reports, and forecasting
  • Ensure timely billing, pay applications, and financial accuracy
  • Identify potential risks and implement proactive mitigation strategies
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Quality Control & Closeout

  • Ensure all work meets project specifications, building codes, and quality expectations
  • Facilitate punch-list completion, final inspections, and handover documentation
  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business

Ideal Candidate:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on commercial construction projects
  • Proven experience managing ground-up and renovation builds
  • Background in office, medical, healthcare, religious, or storage projects preferred
  • Strong budgeting, scheduling, and contract management skills
  • Skilled communicator with excellent leadership and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be local to DFW, with knowledge of regional subcontractors and permitting
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred but not required
