Job Description

IDR is seeking a  Business Analyst to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Austin, TX. This role focuses on analyzing and optimizing business systems and processes within a utility environment to support organizational growth and efficiency. The organization values process improvement, data governance, and supporting analytics initiatives.

Position Overview for the Business Analyst :

  • Leads the review, analysis, and optimization of business systems and processes to align with strategic frameworks and organizational goals.
  • Designs and refines workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and cross-functional performance using industry-standard methodologies.
  • Plays a key role in data governance, establishing policies and standards to ensure data quality and alignment with enterprise data strategies.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements and support onboarding data into modern data platforms for analytics, reporting, and business intelligence.
  • Supports the development and reengineering of business processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend technology-driven improvements.

Requirements for the Business Analyst :

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; experience may substitute for education for up to 4 years.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT or technical environment working with developers, solutions architects, and data teams.
  • 6+ years of experience designing and developing business process frameworks, including standard models, workflows, and governance structures.
  • 6+ years of experience with industry-standard business process mapping tools and methodologies.
  • 6+ years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable, repeatable business processes supporting organizational growth and efficiency.
