Novaris Search is excitingly partnered with a large plant-based ingredient manufacturer in the US, seeking to hire an Analytical Chemist to join their state-of-the-art center in IOWA.

Key responsibilities:
- Development & validation of analytical methods for plant-based compounds
- Provide technical support to sales team & customers
- Help to develop product data, product literature & support new product applications
- Work with marketing to create and exhibit presentations at trade shows
- Perform lab activities in accordance with cGLP/ cGMP regulations
- Qualify/transfer analytical methodology to quality control and contract labs
- Support finished product formulations and process development
Qualifications/expectations:
- Holds a degree in Chemistry or related discipline
- 5-8 years experience, particularly in plant-based chemistry/botanicals
- Understanding of analytical methods & preparation techniques e.g. HPLC, GC, MS, Spectroscopy, filtration & extraction etc
- Excellent analytical, verbal & written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in cross-functional, multi-discipline team environments
